Mamp - Wordpress So close so far away...

    Hi!

I am a webdesigner on macbookpro, Leopard latest. I am trying to view php sites (wordpress, silverstripe, drupal, prestahop) on my localhost from Windows 7 and parallel desktop. The idea is to do all design locally and not be needed to upload to a online server.

The issue is not to be able to reach localhost, i think, because Silvestripe and Drupal i can see and preview.
The strange thing is that i can not preview wordpress nor Prestashop. I can reach them, the database information to but the html does not render - although drupal and Silverstripe does. Permissions maybe.

Hope i am not the only one here

    Feedback are very welcome

    Cheers

Yo Gurus:) I know more now, it is wordpress itself that have defined the path to the css. It is possible to change the site url, home url inside wordpress or in the config-file or inside the database with myadmin.

Although it would have been slick to just make it happen in another way and someone must have achived this before me:) I hope...

    Cheers!

Thanks for reply. All of above is done and i am developing websites in localhost/mac and transfering them online and adjust what needed in a bootcamp/ windows enviroment. So far so good.

What i want is to develop all in localhost in mac as before and do the "windows" development locally untill all is finished.

Now i have set up all with a virtualhost and it works not 100% when it comes to the path to the css-file. This is because the path to the css on the macs apache not being translated as needed when viewing thru windows in localhost.

Funny enough the following cms systems works:

    Silverstripe site: works (permalinks)
    Drupalsite: works (permalinks)
    Wordpress Not (permalinks)
    Prestashop not (permalinks)

I think this is dead simple but sorry to say i have not the skills enough even after serarching in wordpreee, paralell, vmware´s´forums. Arrgh:)

I would be happy to see the love:)
