My daughter wants a Macbook for college when she starts in the fall, but the school program she is entering recommends using a PC with specific software. Does all software that would run on a PC work with the virtual Windows OS using Parallels, or are there some applications that do not work with Parallels? Most of the software the program requires have equivalent Mac versions, but there are a couple of PC only programs that do not. Before I buy the Macbook and Parallels, I'm trying to get some level of comfort that I won't have to turn around and buy her a PC laptop.
