Software Update and Mac Pro SMC Firmware Update

    Hi all,

    I created a Mac OS X 10.5 Server virtual machine. After launching, Software Update pops up and wants to install a number of updates, including the "Mac Pro SMC Firmware Update". My host computer already has the firmware update installed. I'm not certain what installing the Firmware Update in a virtual machine would do. On the other hand, the Mac OS X 10.5.6 Combined Update probably depends on the Firmware Update.

    What do I do? :)

    SMC version is taking from Host OS,
    Please check that you have firmware updates installed on Host

    From the System Profiler...

    Host (an older Mac Pro for which EFI Firmware Update 1.3 is not applicable):

    Boot ROM Version: MP11.005C.B08
    SMC Version: 1.7f10

    Mac OS X 10.5 Server Guest OS:

    Boot ROM Version: 4.0.0
    SMC Version: 0.000
