I am running XP3 in a 2008 Mac Unibody. I am using a Sony ICD-PX720 digital voice recorder which I have successfully got to run in the Parallels environment using Sony's required Digital Voice Editor software. But when I try to save any of the messages to the computer it won't let me.

    I get the following error:

"The specified folder name is incompatible or too long. Please rename." (I have tried renaming with simple filenames, but no luck)

I think that it has something to do with not recognizing the shared folders.

    Any takers?

    Same problem Help

I too am running the XP Parallels 5 and am receiving the same message as NICKL: "The specified folder name is incompatible or too long. Please rename." (I have tried renaming with simple filenames, but no luck)

    What should I do?

I was having the same problem and finally found I was able to save files directly to the root directory at C:.
