I have XP running on Parallel Desktop 4.0 on my MacBook.

My sound is working but terribly distorted, and I cannot for the life of my manage to fix it.

My other problem is I am trying to run Age of Empires 3, but it says I need a 64mb graphics card. Now, I know that I have one of those so I tried to go into the settings. Its all greyed out, and the graphics is set to 32. Every main setting in each category is greyed out.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks
    Nick

First of all, for the sound card issue, which settings did you try to access exactly? You would need to access from Parallels menu -> Virtual Machine -> Configure -> Hardware -> Video. Here are the settings you can tweak. Note, that the virtual machine has to be stopped, otherwise it all would be greyed out indeed.

For the distorted sound, try checking the driver, there was a good solution about this:

Ah haaaa you clever person. It was because the VM was running, I have now adjusted it. Thank you.

As for the sound problem. Whatever I do it just finds a Realtek sound device. I will give that ago later.
