Hi all, I've been using parallels for a few months now and have always had this issue and I'm finally annoyed enough to make a post. I play World of Warcraft and the guild I'm in uses a GSM vent. A few of the people have issues talking and I wanted to just deal with it on my end (since they won't change it). I start Windows XP and then turn on vent and I can hear everyone fine. The problem is maybe 2-6 minutes later I just stop hearing things. Remember that I'm not using the virtual machine at this point, I'm on my mac playing WoW, with the windows window in the background. The problem is fixed when I go back into the windows machine, close vent and then reopen it. Is there any way I can fix this? I've tested multiple vents and it does the same thing. Thanks.
Same issue here This seams to be an old problem I have been having it since I started using Parallels Desktop. I have done a lot of experimenting with different ventrilo installations and even attempted to run win98 instead of XP. Currently I have parallels desktop 3.0 build 5584. When I run ventrilo in Windows XP the sound stops after a while just like these threads report: http://forum.parallels.com/showthread.php?t=20369 http://forum.parallels.com/showthread.php?t=14178 http://forum.parallels.com/showthread.php?t=6231 If I try to run it in Win98, windows will blue screen after the same amount of time as the sound disappears in WinXP. To me this seams like a driver problem with the parallels windows sound driver but I haven't had time to debugged it yet. This is really starting to get annoying. Has anyone got this working? Is there anymore info from the parallels team on this issue?
