Hi. I just installed Windows Parallels 10 on my Mac. My operating system on Mac is Yosemite 10.10.3. I rely on my Parallels program for my work, which is making music charts and tracks using a MIDI program which is not compatible with my Mac. Yesterday, I installed that program on Parallels, and all seemed fine until today when I tried to open it and got this message: "Cannot open MIDI output device: Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth (MMSYSERR_ERROR 1)." So I click on "Okay," and lo and behold, my MIDI program opens up anyway, but will not make any sound. I know in previous versions of Parallels, you could configure the sound for various options, such as Wave/MP3, Line-In, Midi, and CD Audio, using the Playback Control panel, which you bring up by clicking the sound icon on the bottom of your screen; however, with Windows 10, it only gives you the option to control the volume for "Speakers" or "Applications/System Sounds." No MIDI. I have hit "Advance" buttons, done a search in Control Panel to find a way to see how to access the MIDI volume control (which may be set to "Mute," I'm thinking), to no avail. Can anyone help with this? Thanks! BTW, other sounds are playing fine on my Parallels (system sounds, etc.).
