Hello. I am running Parallels 12.1.1 on an iMac running 10.12.2 and Windows 7. I've run for a year with no issues now suddenly get these 3 messages:
    1. The specified file cannot be used as a virtual hard disk.
    2. Unable to connect Hard Disk 0.
    3. Unable to connect floppy disk 0.
I uninstalled Parallels and re-installed it twice. I cannot find the .pvm file when I use the searchlight tool.

Hello DanP4, this error might be occurred because of an incorrect path to second virtual machine hard disk in virtual machine configuration. Are you trying to connect a secondary hard disk to your Windows 7 virtual machine? If so, please check out the instruction outlined in this article.
