Hi, I've just customized the 2X client with SSLNOWARNING value set to 1, but after a clean install with this MSI, it still asks the user if he trusts the self-signed SSL certificate. I suppose that's not expected to happen? Using the latest version btw (6.1.465). Thanks. Edit: Just saw that "do not warn if certificate is not verified" option is enabled under Options -> Advanced Settings. Still asks the user if he wants to proceed. Only once "do not ask again" has been selected, it won't appear again.
I am in the process of testing 2X for our environment and am seeing the same issue. No matter how I set the MSI I am still seeing the "The certificate is self signed. <18>" message. I just want to use this to encrypt this traffic, I don't want to have to purchase and install a CA certificate, but I don't want my users to see this message, either. Is there a way to make this work by customizing the MSI?
For those interested in a resolution to this issue, it is possible, but it's kludgy. When a user checks the "Do not ask me again" again checkbox and clicks "Yes" to accept the certificate, the 2X client creates a file; %appdata%\usertrusted.pes. If you publish this file via group policy, your users that have that policy applied will not see this message. Also, this file seems to be customized to the particular certificate, so you will need to get a copy of the file from one of your clients in order for this to work.
Hi, The latest version is V6.2.528 wich is avalable from http://downloads.2x.com Try it with that option.
