Is SSO not supposed to work in Vista? I've just installed v6 build 421 into a couple of Vista clients and the SSO service will not install.
I'm on Vista. Client side, it has been installing. I just can't guarantee it's working as I can't get anyone to connect to my server....
Hi there, When installing build 210, did you get a message box with a RED text in it?? SSO might not work if you have some third party SSO installed on your computer. Laptops all tend to have a third party SSO installed. Nixu
The only boxes I got was one asking if I would like single sign on installed and another box saying that the SSO components could not be installed. I uninstalled the application and then ran the installers again and do not get any boxes with any RED text in them, just the two boxes that I mentioned above. Also, these are desktop computers with no other SSO applications installed on them. These just have Vista Enterprise Edition with Service Pack 1 installed on them and no other applications installed yet at this time.
Ok, well I just figured out what the problem was. You have to turn off UAC in order for the SSO components to install. Once I did that the SSO components installed successfully.
Hi there, Are you installing the application as a administrator or as a user with limited rights?? As to install SSO you need to have certain rights.. Nixu
I'm installing the application as an administrator, but isn't the same as having administrative rights on a Vista machine. I usually right click and select run as administrator when I install applications like this, but since it's an msi file there is no option to run as administrator so I had to turn off UAC. I'm not sure what to do next as having UAC on is a useful feature, annoying, but useful.
