I found the cause of this problem, for me at least. I remapped my command key to control, and somehow that caused the start menu to stop working when I clicked on the Parallels dock icon. Once I removed the remapping, it began working again. However, I really want to be able to remap my command key to the control key while keeping the start menu there. Has anyone else faced this issue? After Googling it, I found a few people with this issue but none of them seemed to have found any solution.
