Storage: Parallels Desktop App Store Edition vs Parallels Standard

Hello, I tried asking the below to the Support Team via Facebook Messenger, but getting no reply. So I hoped someone here could help.
I have been using Parallels Desktop App Store Edition for the past year. But now wanted to try Parallels Standard. I paid the license, but failed to install it due to the lack of memory. So I had to delete the newly created VM and installed back the App Store Edition. Nevertheless I still see Parallels VMs taking 63,55 GB of my Mac. I do not recall the program taking so much storage before messing up with the Standrad edition. Is that normal? Can I decrease the storage it takes? How? Thanks a lot in advance.
