i tried to start parallels today and first it wouldn't launch i got this error message after waiting at least 20 minutes. Make sure that the prl_disp_service process is active and it is not blocked by Firewall. If the problem persists, contact the Parallels support team for assistance. i fixed that issue by following a step that was listed in this forum and got parallels too load but then when i tried to boot my vm at first it did not start so i shut it down and tried again. the second time it booted fine now im in windows and the startup repair wizard has started but also somehow my parallels drivers were uninstalled and its trying to repair startup. what caused this issue to happen the last time i ran parallels it was fine. im using parallels version 5 latest version on a macbook pro 2.4 ghz with 4 gigs of ram running 10.6.4.
