Strange visual glitches (dithering issue on MB screns)

    Hi,

Well, the title says it all. Some panels display some strange artefacts, as you can see on attached screenshot. It seems I'm missing some colors, although I set the display settings on 32bit colors.

The problem was already there before I installed Parallels Tools, and persist whatever screen resolution or mode (full screen or windowed) I'm using.

    My config:
    Macbook 2Ghz + 2GB RAM
Mac OS X 10.4.7, all Apple updates installed
WinXP US SP2 with 1GB of RAM allocated

    Any ideas anyone? :)
    Thx a lot

Well, it seems the problem is that the MB's screen is a 18bit one, not a true 24bit. It's actually a color dithering issue.

I dunno why it's easier to notice on Windows than on Mac OS though.

Many forums are reporting the same problem on MB Pro and the 17" iMac :

As a web designer, I'll have to bring back my MB to the store....
