Hi guys,
So, some years ago I've been using PD for Mac under corporate license.
Now I came up to buy PD 11 for myself. And surprisingly I discovered that subscription terms are inappropriate and unacceptable.
I'm a software developer, so I need features of Pro version. But I can't accept that after subscription expiration I will not be able to use your software at all. I'm okay to buy and renew subscription but I need a guarantee that I would always be able to use piece of software I paid for.
I'm paying for Jetbrains subscription and they provide such guarantee.
So, your subscription terms are very restrictive tough and offensive. Could you propose something?
For now I may consider only two alternatives:
1) Not to use your software at all. To be honest, I want to use it - it's a really good and convenient solution.
2) Use illegally distributed version or just alter your binaries a bit myself. It's kinda illegal but regarding moral aspects - its alright. You are forcing me, you don't trust me and enforcing me to pay regularly despite of fact that you are releasing your versions very rarely. So, if you are playing unfair - why should I play fair?
I'm pretty sure that my opinion is not important for you, but, guys, I really suggest you to consider loosening subscription restrictions. Otherwise a lot of people may prefer using another products or illegal distributions instead of paying to you.
