Running FreeBSD 6 as a guest OS for Parallels for MAC (build 1970). Not using X or a windows manager in the install -- just basic console setup. Kernel is setup with VESA option. "vidcontrol -i mode" shows quite a few supported modes for the video adapter. Tried to set some of those modes. 2 examples: vidcontrol -g 100x37 VESA_800x600 vidcontrol MODE_367 Getting the following errors "cannot set videomode: operation not supported by device" "cannot activate raster display: operation not supported by device" Any idea how to change non-X console video modes in guest OS?
