Do you mean rebooting as last item or what? Can you contcretize that (screenshot will be very helpful). Thanks.

    ok here is the picture.

i don't think it will help you. the only thing that the install does is just sit there at hardware config.

    Had the same problem myself.

When you reboot, you have the option of continuing the setup or just abandon. Abandon, you can finish by hand if there is a need for it.

In my case, after abandoning, there was nothing I needed to reconfigure, since the screen was at 1024x768 which I wanted to keep anyway, and I was not interested in setting up modem, and other hardware from that screen.

    good luck

No, it is not supported, but then again I rarely bring up X-Windows on that session, it usually runs as a console based linux running an oracle server for testing purpose.

Well, I got it running OK. And I resized the resolution from the macbook to the imac 24. I am using 1600x1000.

But all the fonts seem large, and the icons huge.... its like I only streched everything and don't truly have more desktop space.

I confess, my linux is rather poor... I did run a redhat 5.0 webhost way back in the day before hosting was soo cheap... but I had to use the help files and a good friend to tweak it.

I am typing this now on SuSe 10.2 in FF 2.0.

    The font here looks right.

Its just my desk top icons and font like in IMs and such... huge...

    Any help?

Also, the REAL problem is that this, unlike my Windows doesnt seem to have the drag and drop and my mouse is locked inside this window.

Is there no "tools" for this OS to let me use it without Ctr+Alt all the time ??

    TIA

    PAX

    Another SUSE issue....

When I scroll, like reading this forum or other web pages.... the redraw is sluggish and slow...

Its like half the page is moving with my mouse and the other half is lagging behind a second or two...

Like it's ripped right down the middle top to bottom.... Very hard on the eyes to see what yer scrolling...

Well, this distro works.... if you can call it working. But according to all the linux experts Ive been in discussions with, he used ZEN for updates but had the open updater trying to access it. Which means It hangs waiting for Open, which is not loaded and not even an option because of the "lite" version... being disabled.

I am going to attempt a clean full install from DVD.iso for iMac 24".

See ya all in about 12 hours if all is well.

If anyone HAS a working iMac image... please post... if no one has gotten it to work... I will BT mine when done for all.

This one right now may be great for the MacBook generic... but it's beyond usefull for anything other... IMHO.

OK I fixed most every issue by just doing a direct download and set up myself.

A few quirks, bugs or just general improvements needed:

#1 the mouse over and out without having to hit CTR+ALT all the time... like XP... fluid and seamless... please or if it IS, tell me how now...

#2 how do I share folders on the network? Obviously it's using the same concepts as windows.... sharing the same IP scheme... so why cant I share or see or drag and drop files ? How do I fix this?

Other than those 2... all else is working great and stable.
