I am new to Parallels (use to be vmware user)
When not using parallels, i obviously like to close it.

Now is it best to suspend or shut down? i would much prefer to just suspend it, so next time i need it, it loads quickly to where i left off.
When i was using vmware fusion, if you didn't shut the windows machine down, then it uses up your memory, causing your mac to become sluggish. And if you correctly shut down the windows machine, then the mac would run fine because the memory was freed. Is this the same with Parallels? Or it doesnt matter that much...

    Thanks

    Hi

I would also like to know the answer to this, I run windows for a couple of programs I dip into during the working day, and I usually close down windows and parallels between usage. IF I leave win/parallels running it does slow down OSX considerably hence my reluctance to allow it to run in the background as a matter of course
