    I am a 2x client user.

I have the 2x ApplicationServer Client installed on my machine and I connect in remotely. We have multiple users wanting to use PCA, but the system will not allow more than one user at a time to use PCA for remote connections from our office.

Has anyone successfully setup Symantec's PCAnywhere 12 to allow multiple users to connect to the 2x server and use the application for remote support/connections?

Right now multiple users have to share the program and it's frustrating and defeats the purpose of having the 2x in the first place.

    Can someone please help?
Links to some instructions or KB, or some kind work-around - something.

I didn't see any previous posts for this issue and if it's a duplicate, I am sorry.

    Thanks,
    Larry

    Hello,

I think it's not possible at all. But I'm not an PCA expert.

What you could do is, installing Virtual Machines on the Server running Application Server(if it's strong enough) with VmWare Server free Virtualization and make so many virtual machines as count of users of PCA. Then you install Apllication Server Free Version(5 Connects should be enough) on each virtual machine.

    Now there are two possibilitys:

you Loadbalance between all this Servers. This is usefull if the other users have other published applications as well. And give each PCA on the Appserv a new Publishing Name. the disadvantage is you would have to pay for it when you have more then two Appservs.

the other possiblility(for free) is to only publish the PCA on each Appserv and assign every user an other Appserv.

    Perhaps this could work.

But I don't know if it's legal ok.

Before doing this you should ask an 2X Member first.

okay, I forgot the Microsoft Licenses ;) This makes this a little more complicated.

But perhaps it's an Idea, that could help.

    Regards,
    Alex
