I use a T Mobile USB dongle to access the internet when I'm on the move. This worked fine on my Macbook Pro running OS X Leopard. However, the upgrade to Snow Leopard has rendered the dongle useless. This is a well documented problem and hardly any dongles work under SL currently. Anyway, no problem I thought - just use the dongle under my Windows XP VM. Unfortunately this doesn't work either! The drivers are installed and up to date, but whatever I do I get the message from the T Mobile software 'can't find the device'. I've checked in Windows device manager and the USB stick is definitely recognised by the system so I don't know what the problem can be. Note: it's recognised as a mass storage device rather than a modem - could this be the problem? I'm running Parallels 5, Windows XP Pro and Snow Leopard 10.6.2. Macbook Pro, 4 GB Ram. The T Mobile dongle is the web 'n' walk stick 111, which is in fact the Huawei E270 as far as I know. Any ideas?
