In Parallels Desktop build 4.0.3844, I'm running Windows XP Pro SP2 in coherence mode. I want the Windows taskbar at the BOTTOM of the screen. When the VM bootsup, however, it always repositions the taskbar to the top of the screen and I have to manually reposition it. In the coherence preferences the automatically reposition taskbar option is unchecked, and after repositioning it manually, I've locked the taskbar, but it still keeps moving. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could help me solve this problem. IMHO, I see no reason why Parallels coherence mode even needs an automatically reposition taskbar. If the user wants to reposition, they can do it themselves, and it would stay put. Also, I wanted to know as to when the upgrade of Parallels Tools to be compatible with Ubuntu 9.04 be launched?
Hello, Regarding the taskbar issue in coherence, please follow the steps mentioned below: 1. Launch Parallels Desktop. 2. Go to Virtual Machine option on the menu bar --> Configure. 3. Choose Coherence and disable the option " Automatically reallocate windows taskbar". 4. Click ok and restart the Virtual Machine.
