the connection to the remote application was broken

I can open the client and it will show me all the published apps. If I double click one it gives me this error.
the connection to the remote application was broken. A network Error may have occured. Please try connecting again later.

Strangely I am able to connect useing the client from inside the LAN.

Normally I would think this is a firewall issue. However since I can see the published apps Some communication is happening. I can also see in the logs that 2X thinks it has started the connection for the application.

I have checked the event logs on the gateway server and on the server that the 2x server lives on. No errors.

I verified that the correct ports are open in the firewall.

Everthing worked yesterday... No Windows updates have been installed since it last worked.

Any help would be great.

Users outside the lan connect useing
port 8000 which is forwarded to Port 80 on the 2X server.

 

hmm. updated the 2X server to 5.1 and everything works now.
