Running Windows 10 on a 2019 Intel Macbook Pro. All running fine on Parallels 19 and never had any update issues in the past. Updated to 20.0.1 today and now get the no OS installed error. Any suggestions on a fix?

All my files are stored on the Mac side so worst case I build out a new VM but would like to see if I can get the old one running in the meantime to finish up some work on that VM.

Exact same problem ("no machine installed" after updating on a 2019 Intel MBP) and same solution. It seems Parallels 20 doesn't work all that well in intel, ironically...

Same setup here (Windows 10 on a 2019 Intel Macbook Pro). After updating to Parallells 20 I was met with the message "There is no operating system installed in this virtual machine.". Reverted back to Parallells 19 and the Windows machine boots up again.

    Is that x86 or x64.

No support for x86 in v20

This means whether the installed Windows version is 32-bit or 64-bit.

It's the exact same issue for me. I upgraded last week, in the background, and yesterday, when I finally needed to open up Windows 11 on my 2017 iMac, running Ventura, I got this message. I thought the whole point of Parallels was that I didn't need an ISO disk - that it was all bundled into the installation of the Virtual Machine.

How does one revert to v19?

Welp, reverting did not work. Nor did the "edit Text Desciptor.xml" from this link:
    https://kb.parallels.com/en/116508

It would seem that my Time Machine has now decided to show only what it has backed up today. There is no history of backups.

    FML.
