This app cannot be opened while UAC is disabled

Hi,

I have been getting this error for quite a while now. It happens when I try to click on a windows shortcut from my dock in coherence mode. I am using Windows 8.1, Mac OSX 10.9.4 and Parallels Desktop Build 9.0.24237.

My UAC setting is "Never notify" this is when I get the error. When I change the setting to "Notify me only when apps try to make changes to my computer (do not dim my desktop) the problem seems resolved however, every time I restart my VM this setting reverts to "Never notify" and the error returns.

I know that Metro style apps will only run with UAC enabled but I was under the understanding that UAC was always enabled with Windows 8.1 and only notifications were suppressed.

Hi, hopefully I am not jumping the gun here but it seems like re-installing Parallels Tools may have resolved this issue for me. I have rebooted a few times now without issues opening applications. I will update this thread should the issue arise again.
