Subject: playing tivo files on your Intel Mac. Just a note for those folks interested in running Tivo2Go on the WinXP side in Parallels. [since Tivo still doesn't provide Mac users an alternative] It works very nicely, as I noted in earlier posts. In the past I had to run a utility called Direct Show Dump in order to create an mpg from the .tivo file. Then copy the mpg file to the OSX Share directory to play from the OSX side. After installing Windows Media Player 11 on the XP side it still didn't work but I just added Nero 7 and now I can play the original .tivo file directly in the XP window. No converting necessary. So, in summmary ....1) add Tivo2Go to Windows XP....2) Install Windows Media Player 11 and 3) Install Nero 7 (download the trial version. Its good for 30 days so you can give it a good try) and you should be in business. VG ,
