Hello guys: I have just installed 2X Application Server & Load Balancer v 5.1. Host is a Windows XP SP2 From my client (Windows XP) I can see the application I want to access, but when I click on the application: 1.- It opens the desktop (not the application) in a small (non-controlable*) window (* I cannot resize and there are no sliding bars) 2.- It logs off the current user in the server That is, it works pretty much like Remote Control, but problematically. Is that the way it should work? I was expecting the application to run in the "background" or something like it. BTW, Remote Control is on -- should I turn it off? I have tried to find something about this in the Forum, but I am confused and not sure what exactly I am looking for. I thought I may need a Windows Server to run as I would like... or maybe this is not the application I am looking for. Cheers, Nelson
the clue is in the title 2X ApplicationServer for WIndows Terminal Services Its designed to work with full terminal sevices only, therefore its not tested or supported to pubish applications from WIndows XP. However the Console (publishing agent) can be installed an operated from Windows XP, and then the TS agents installed on Windows Terminal Servers hope that helps
Application Server works with Win XP Pro It works with Win XP Pro but you will need an XP based terminal server such as ThinServer XP :- www.aikotech.com/thinserver.htm
