Just a placeholder for the latest builds.
Build 21292.rs_prerelease.210108-1514 which I installed an hour ago breaks x64 emulation
the installation of the 21301.1000 update failed for me. It rolled back automatically.
worked the second time :/
Worked for me ... showed a disk error but settled down after a reboot ...
Have got sound working, but it's gone again :-(
Update to 21301.1000 worked first time, however the network interface is disabled on startup and won't re-enable.
Manually update driver
Uninstall device through device manager and reboot
add new interface
nothing seems to bring the network back.
21301.1000 update no issues all network etc working ... will check on Arm64 support if fixed ... please note the VM I applied this to is a clone of a VM that started life on the first insider beta and the first beats of Parallels .. and has been updated every step of the way ... this might be different to VMs that began life later and especially fresh installs ... YMMV ..
Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version Next (10.0.21301.1010) (KB5000626)
I've upgraded. Was hoping it might fix the Store issue, but it hasn't. Not for me, anyway. Still unable to open.
Store works. I installed the x64 version and it has not been replaced. It however did replace the sticky notes app with an arm32 version so I had to manually replace it with x64.
I am still unable to use any web cameras or input capture cards. Does anyone have a webcam working with their windows 10 install?
do you have a tutorial for doing this at all? I followed a previous tutorial, which involved running some powershell scripts to uninstall the ARM32 version and replace with x64 version, but it didn't work.
Same issue with me.
I think people have posted some how tos in this forum. I'll try to post a simplified version - it is really not that complicated. The basic process is the same. Use windows powershell to add and remove stuff.
thanks. yeah I have read and followed the linked tutorial pinned. it just didn't work, so I was just asking in case your steps differ in some way.
Ok here is a quick how to:
0. Open windows powershell as administrator. you can find it under the start menu or search for it.
1. Check version of Microsoft Store
> Get-AppPackage "*store*"
2. If it says "arm" in the package full name, you should uninstall it.
> Get-AppPackage "*store*" | Remove-AppPackage
3. Now paste this URL
4. Download all appx and appxbundle files with x64 in it

5. For each of the appx files install them this way:
> Add-AppPackage -Path "path to appx"
(It is likely some of these may be installed, in which case the install will fail. Ignore it)
6. Rename the .appxbundle file to .zip and extract it
7. In the unzipped directly, you will find this file; Install it
> Add-AppPackage -Path "path to WinStore_12011.1001.1.0_x64.appx"
Your store app should work now.
Don't get rid of the install files. You will need to remove the arm versions and reinstall the x64 version each time.
hi there. thanks so much for this. the step I'm struggling with is the install at step 5. I'm getting 'path not found' error in Powershell, so I'm assuming there's something wrong in the file path I'm providing. I think I'm getting confused between files paths on macOS and the Windows VM. The files originally downloaded to Mac Downloads folder, but I've moved them to my VM disk, as I'm assuming Powershell in the VM needs a Windows file path (I could be wrong though!)
I've added the four files in the Documents folder on the Windows VM, i.e. C:\Users\mcooling\Documents\
I'm then using the full file path in PowerShell, e.g.
Add-AppPackage -Path C:\Users\mcooling\Documents\Microsoft.NET.Native.Framework.2.2_2.2.29512.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe
This is the error I'm getting in Powershell: -
Add-AppPackage : Cannot find path
'C:\Users\mcooling\Documents\Microsoft.NET.Native.Framework.2.2_2.2.29512.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe' because it does not
