Transporter Agent Passcode issue

I just bought a MacBook Air, and after installing PDM 8 on the Air, I'm trying to use the Transporter Agent to move Windows 7 and applications from my old MacBook Pro to the Air. I downloaded and installed Transporter Agent on the MBP, and diligently followed instructions on the MBA to connect to the Pro (File->New->"Migrate Windows from a PC"). I then select the Network option. I get as far as seeing the passcode on the MBA along with the message "When you're prompted, enter the following passcode on your PC." But I'm never prompted. I've checked and re-checked to ensure that no firewalls or security software might be blocking access. All firewalls are off. I also tried to connect via IP address, but the IP of my MBP doesn't appear in the window, and manually entering the IP doesn't work either. What am I missing?
