I downloaded the trial version of parallels desktop 4.0 for mac (although i have a legit copy but that's another story). i spent more hours than i care to remember trying to get this software installed. after installation and when i go into windows, i get a notification balloon letting me know that there is NO anti-virus software installed. the trial version does not provide anti-virus software in the trial download? last year's (late 2007-early 2008) version did when i did the trial for my daughter's mbp. how do i get the anti-virus and other apps off my full purchased copy of parallels for desktop??
Hello, To remove the anti virus software and other applications you need to click on Start -> Control Panel -> Add or Remove Program and uninstall or remove the software which you want. Thank You. _________ Anupama Parallels Team
I guess my post was not clear -- - due to some loading issues with my CD version, i could not successfully load parallels program from new, registered CD copy - during install of CD, 'updating to a newer version' during install just hangs. - i downloaded the TRIAL copy from parallels site (because after 4 hours of fooling with this i had had enuff and have to meet some critical deadlines) - the trial version i successfully downloaded, does NOT have anti-virus software included (Yikes!) - i must have the anti-virus software installed before accessing IE so right now, i have the trial version of parallels and windows xp pro on computer, but NO anti-virus software. here's the question: - how do i get the anti-software and tools from my CD ONTO the computer????
