I just got Parallels and am having trouble installing on my 512 K Memory MacBook. I am using Tiger OS. I have tried to run Disk Utility and repairing disk permissions to no avail. I get as far as the installation part and can load about 9 % of the program and then it crashes. I have tried to re-open, and re-install and nothing happens. This only happens on the MacBook. It installs fine on my MacMini. Any ideas or suggestions?

512K? You mean 512MB of RAM, right? If so, get more RAM, then come back if it is still not working.

    No such luck

    John,

I tried it more than once and no luck. I might have to look at more memory if I don't hear of any other alternatives.

I really do recommend you look at more memory instead of spending awhile prowling for a fix, 512 MB is barely able to run OS X, let alone XP on top of it.

I am taking your advice and just placed an order for 2 GB memory upgrade. I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks for helping me.

Sure thing. Hate to tell people to spend more money... Let us know how it works either way.
