One of our clients wants to use shared 2X applications on two (or three) different servers. At first we did not know if this would be possible without having them import a different .2xi files whenever they wanted to switch between programs on one server and another. However, we tried adding icons to the local desktop from all three servers and it worked - if they were running a Program 1 from Server A and then needed Program 2 on Server B, 2X seemed to be able to launch them without any trouble. Recently we started to run into problems. Sometimes the icons from one of the servers will disappear. Sometimes they stay for days or weeks. Sometimes the Client software seems to get confused and retain the Domain settings for one server when trying to log on to another. It remembers to change the user name and password to log in, but it tries to find a Domain for Server A that doesn't exist on Server B, and our clients can't connect. Has anyone been able to get this to work in some sort of stable fashion? Does anyone have any ideas how to keep the icons from vanishing?
2X ApplicationServer Client version 5 is not able to handle multiple farms. In the next release the client will support multiple farms, a beta will be released soon. Nixu
