Running Parallels 9 on my Macbook Pro Retina and Windows 7. FL Studio has many rotary knobs that stick fully low or high as soon as I try to move them with either a mouse or trackpad. This appeared to be fixed in Parallels 8 when I turned OFF the SmartMouse option. However, in Parallels 9, the SmartMouse options are different and none of them resolve the issue. I just upgraded to 9 and really don't want to downgrade back to 8. Suggestions?

    Hi Dennisjs,

Please follow the steps as suggested below:

    1. (Re)Install Parallels Tools as suggested at http://kb.parallels.com/4841
    2. Go to VM Configure (http://kb.parallels.com/117287) > Hardware > Mouse & Keyboard > Select SmartMouse and change it to Don’t optimize for games > Restart Windows Virtual Machine > Start using Mouse in FL Studio and let us know how it works.

I actually figured this out last night. I hadn't tried it before because it seemed counter intuitive: changing the SmartMouse setting to "Optimize for games" actually fixes the issue. This app isn't a game so it wasn't something I had tried before - you might want to consider rewording that option.

Anyhow - this appears to work well. I'm very pleased with how well Parallels is working with FL Studio now that I have this mouse/trackpad issue resolved!
