Trying Parallels 8 - Beginner's Questions

Hello, I just downloaded a trial edition of PD8 and am quite satisfied with the performance on my 13" retina MacBook Pro until now. However, I do have the following questions:

1. At installation time, I chose the 3rd option: to run Windows from Boot Camp. However, I later figured out there were TWO options, to either run from or to import my Windows version from Boot Camp. How do I know which option did I actually end up having?
2. If I'm running Windows from Boot Camp partition directly, why would I need to re-activate Windows? Assuming I do move the license from my real Boot Camp partition to my Parallels application, does this mean I will never be able to run Windows from Boot Camp ever again (since there will be the same licence issue)?
3. When (if ever) can I safely delete my Boot Camp partition?
4. Does the Parallels configuration (that ran for a while at first) explicitly disable Apple's Boot Camp software? I'm asking because I cannot find it in my Windows 8 notification area anymore.
