    Hi guys.

A few weeks ago I installed Win XP via Paralles and it worked fine.

Today I tried to install Windows Server 2003 and I failed.

    What I have done:
    Created a new VM,
settings on CD/DVD ROM: Device status --> enabled, connected at startup, default CD/DVD ROM, IDE 0:1
Booting options: CD ROM, Hard Disk, Floppy

I started the VM and it said, there´s no boot device available. I changed the booting options from CD ROM to Hard Disk and tried again. Again it failed.

The disc is a bootable disc and I tried it before on my other PC´s. It worked very well.

I´m running a MAC mini 1.66GHz Intel Core Duo processor, 1 GB DDR2 SDRAM, ...

I´ve searched the forums but could not find any help so far.

    Thanks guys.

Try IDE 0:0 for the CDROM

    Hi Joem.

Thanks. I tried this later and it failed.
I made an iso image of the CD and now it runs.

    Don´t ask me why.
