trying to use Plusteck Optibook scanner

Hi, have bought a Plusteck Optibook Scanner for scanning books.
Trying to get it to run under parallels, but it keeps on saying that it cant find any scanner attached...
(Plusteck to make Mac software, but it crashes all the time)
my Mac can see the scanner attached.

parallels sees a USB2 scanner in the menu bar.

but any other attempts to get it to run are proving fruitless..

(I do have a dell laptop, and may have to install on it)

but as all the files I was going to make, will be used on my mac, I was trying to avoid double handelling..

Any clues would be appreciated.
