Every time a new device is available Parallels nags me if I want to connect it to the session. Every time I say "no"! Why isn't this a preference? This is getting tiresome.
Start Parallels DEsktop holding Command key, in USB connectio 1 - Connection options select either Connect to Mac OS or Guest (depends on what you need)
