Greetings, After upgrading to 2X ApplicationServer Client v6.0 (build 416) I get the following error message when trying to select the way my users can login on my desktop (running Windows XP Professional): "A recently installed program has disabled the Welcome screen and Fast User Switching. To restore these features you must uninstall this program. The following file name might help you identify the program that made the change: C:\Program Files\2X\ApplicationServer Client\\TUXCredProv.dll" Any suggestions? What is TUXCredProv anyway? Thx-ifuon
Hi, TUXCredProv.dll is the Dll that handles the SSO feature. Now if Windows XP is not a member of a Microsoft Windows NT, Windows 2000, or Microsoft Windows Server 2003 domain, then Fast User Switching is enabled. As documented in MS KB article: http://support.microsoft.com/default.as ... -us;294739, if the default Msgina.dll is replaced (TUXCredProv.dll ), Fast User Switching is disabled. That is the reason, for the message popping up when your are trying to select the way users can login on their desktop. If you install the 2X client without the SSO feature (during setup) then Fast User Switching will not get disabled. Nixu
Nixu, Thank you for your prompt and clear reply, as usual. Any hints as to how to revert this when already installed with SSO? Should a simple uninstall / re-install without SSO this time do the trick?
