I try parallels desktop with windows 8 on mac os x10.8, I have 2 problems:
-I use a modified keyboard layout, parallels desktop always turns to the original keyboard layout.
    - When I watch a video, the screen turns off after 10 minutes (scheduled for mac), this does not occur in native mac.

    Hi

    Have you installed Parallels tools?
Also have you modified the keyboard from with in your VM?
I thought this knowledge base article might be useful http://kb.parallels.com/en/113706
About watching the video and it going to sleep is this occurring only in the vm or is your mac going to sleep also?

    Yes, Parallels Tools are installed.
No, I haven't modified the keyboard from my VM, into mac,I created a keyboard layout specially to change a key . When I start my VM, Parallels replaces the standard mac keyboard layout and maintain it after stopping VM.
My mac is not going to sleep also when I'm watching a video.

    Hi herszk,

To map a keyboard for Parallels
    Select your VM
Along the bottom of the screen you will see several icon one will be a keyboard
select the keyboard>check the item to be changed.

To change the sleep settings in the vm
Control Panel>Power Options>Choose when to turn off the display
you can also change your screen saver Wait time
    Control Panel>Personalization>Screen Saver>Wait

This is not what I want, I just want to keep the mac keyboard as it is without parallels that takes the standard mac. There is no windows commands but some characters that I modified.
Time to turn off the screen and standby are both set to "never".
I think that Parallels does not send the signal to Mac os x that it is a video watch.

I am trying Parallels's competitor, I have no problem with my keyboard layout.
