Hi, I'm attempting to install Ubuntu 10.10 32- or 64-bit for the purposes of using the UCK to create a modified Ubuntu 10.10 for a LiveUSB Flash drive. So far, every attempt to install has resulted in the following error before I've had any opportunity to interact with the installation process: The error message is the same whether I install from an ISO or optical disc. I have checksummed the Ubuntu downloads and they pass. I have followed the KB instructions to completely uninstall Parallels Desktop 6 and re-installed. The virtual machine configuration is as follows: CPUs - 1 Memory - 256MB Boot Order - CD/DVD; HDD 1 Video Memory - 64MB; 3D acceleration enabled; Vertical sync enabled Floppy Disk - Disabled CD/DVD 1 - SATA 0:2 HDD 1 - SATA 0:1; Expanding 32GB disk Network 1 - Connected; Shared Sound - Connected; Input: Null device; Output: Built-in Output; Channels: Stereo USB Controller - No USB devices connected Options: Startup View - Window Optimization - Faster Mac; Better Performance Security - Isolate Mac from Linux; Undo disks disabled Advanced - Auto SmartMouse; Time synced with Mac My Mac: OS X 10.6.6 with all updates as-of date of this post Mac Pro 2010 w/ AMD HD 5770 Parallels 6, latest version as-of date of this post There are no reports in the Console relating to Parallels. Anyone able to offer some constructive advice? Ta, S.
