Ubuntu 10.10 grub-install fatal error installing to virtual-hdd??

Hello,

I am trying to install the latest version of Ubuntu 10.10 (Maverick Meerkat) but am having an issue upon install. When it reaches 93% it gives me a fatal error with grub-install in regards to not being able to install grub to the virtual-hdd. I can only X out as the 'Cancel Installation' and 'Install without Grub' are greyed out. For reference, it installs perfectly fine in VMWare Fusion but Parallels won't transport the VM image saying it can only make it a data disk.

Any help would be appreciated.
