Wanted to try out Coherence for something but...wasn't able to because it's greyed out in both the host menu and gnome-extensions-app. Above is the relevant log showing the reason why coherence isn't working. Any ideas?

Hi JonathanF4, Coherence feature is no longer supported in Linux based virtual machines starting from Parallels Desktop 15.

Why would Parallels stop supporting this? It worked perfectly fine with Parallels Desktop 15 until I upgrade Ubuntu from 18.04 to 20.04. Coherence is one of the primary reasons I actually pay for a PD license, and it's just as useful with Linux as with Windows.

You can refer to this article under the title "What's Deprecated or Removed from Parallels Desktop 15" to know the reason why Coherence is removed from Linux VM's on Parallels Desktop.

.... Unbelievable. I only use any VM in coherence mode. I need to because i'm using applications that only run on specific operating systems, and i need to actually use multiple applications, you know.. multi-tasking... you know.. productivity.. thats why we pay for licenses... to actually do work. Please add the capability back.
