I just got Parallels onto my MacBook Pro M1 Max, and I selected the Ubuntu Arm button to set up a new virtual machine. It seemed to be working fine, I was just getting things set up in my standard way, when I suspended the VM. Now I can't resume it. I had it on a second display full screen, and that screen is now black. If I click on Resume, it seems to be resuming, but then black screen. I can suspend it again (from the Control Center) and resume it again, ad infinitum, but the main screen ~ window stays black. Also, if my mouse cursor is in that window when I resume, it stops moving until I put some other program in the foreground. I also tried quitting, then reopening Parallels to no avail. Is there any way to resume this VM, or do I delete it and start over?
I have the exact same issue on my MacBook Pro M1. Unfortunately I have not been able to get around it either. Following this post for a solution.
