Hello, I have been using Parallels and Windows 10 for many years successfully running some specialist engineering software. I have recently upgraded to a new M1 Max and and was testing out if the same software would install and run properly on Windows 11 and Parallels v17. Unfortunately, I am having some .dll errors when trying to run the software now, and I wonder if perhaps there might be some solutions or fixes I might try? ## System Info: Macbook 2021, Apple M1 Max OS 12.2 (Monterey) Parallels v17 Windows 11 Home, Version 10.0.22000, Build 22000 Application causing the issue: OpenStudioApp 3.3.0 (link) ## Behavior: I am able to install the application just fine in Windows 11 and Parallels v17, but when I attempt to run, I get the error: `unexpected ucrtbase.dll` I have tried to 'register' the dll following the steps outlined here: link but when I try to use regsvr32 on the dll file, I get the error: `The module "ucrtbase.dll" was loaded but the entry-point DLLRegisterServer was not found. Make sure that "ucrtbase.dll" is a valid DLL or OCX file and then try again` ## - Is there any other known fix for these sorts of dll errors / DLLRegisterServer issues on M1s using Windows 11 that I might attempt? - Colleagues are running the same application on Windows 11, but on PC computers, and so far this issue appears to be only on M1 systems using Parallels v17 at this point? - I have also posted this issue to the application developer's forums for suggestions as well Thank you very much for any suggestions as to how to resolve this issue. best, -Ed May
Also have the 'unexpected ucrtbase.dll' when I try to run any command from the command prompt. No other anomalies found (webbrowsers works as expected etc)
