I can't install Quicken Premier on my MacBook Air 1.6 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3. Running Parallels Desktop 6 for Mac, Build 6.0.11992, rev. 625164. Host is Mac OS 10.6.5, guest is Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. Install Wizard doesn't open when insert CD. If double-click Install.exe CD file, get error msg "Quicken install launcher was unable to open \\psf\Quicken 2010\disk1\setup.exe." A recommended fix for install issues is to rt-click on install.exe file and install as administrator, but that option does not show when rt-click. The CD installs fine on a PC. Quicken tech support said they don't support it on Macs. I was under the impression running Windows in Parallel on a Mac should be able to install and run Windows apps. Can anyone offer any suggestions? Thanks.
Answer to your question Sir or Madam, You need to click on "Devices" on the menu bar. Then click on CD/DVD 1. Then click real CD/DVD. That will work. Thanks, Nick
This Worked I copied the entire CD to My Documents on the VMWindows 7 and then Rt clicked on the Setup and clicked run and it worked. Then I just deleted it all after install so that I was in compliance with the license and didn't have a "copy" of the softeware. Quicken 2013 is up and running on my Parallel VM running windows 7 on a MacBook Pro with Mountian Lion X!
