I just got a new M1 Pro MacBook Pro, and installed Parallels. I haven't really done anything in parallels other than download Steam, the EA app, and Epic Games, and try to troubleshoot this issue. When I try to launch an EA game (originally from Steam where I purchased it, now from the EA app after getting a refund and buying it directly from them) it shows the first bits of a launch sequence, but then nothing happens, and no error messages. There's a little popup window that says "launching game", it disappears, the on the EA game page it shows the game running in place of the 'play' button briefly, sometimes another window of the EA app pops up briefly (without loading any content, just blank), and then it just does nothing, and I'm back to the page on the EA app where I can press play again. I've tried reinstalling the game, reinstalling the launchers, restarting parallels, set it to gaming mode, run as administrator, and checked several other things that I've found online, like making sure everything is up to date, turned off the automatic windows antivirus, and making sure there weren't any problems in device management with the sound or video devices, and so on. The only other thing I can think of that may be an issue is that I haven't activated windows yet, and if that's what I have to do then I will, but if there's anything else I may be overlooking or needing to fix, I'd greatly appreciate it!
I'm running into the same issues. Please update here if you get a fix/workaround and I'll do the same!
