When exiting Windows, my MAC told me I had to hold in the power button for five seconds as it had to be shut down. Upon re-entry into MAC OSX, I get this message: Virtual machine cannot be started because of the following problem: Parallels Desktop is unable to access the virtual hard disk image file /Virtual Machines/Microsoft Windows XP/winxp.hdd. The file is used by other application. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and it continues to give the same message. Can anyone tell me what has happened and what to do to resolve this?
Thank you so much! Yes, it worked. I still am not too MAC savvy, been using Windows for years. My son helped me with it, as I wasn't sure what to do. Until you know by experience what to do, it's a bit strange. I do appreciate the link. It is good not to have to reinstall anything. Guess this happened so the MAC could protect itself. Again, thank you, Stacey.
