unable to load parallels driver

I am trying to start up my parallels program and have the error message "Unable to load parallels driver"
Tells me to restart my Mac and then it still doesn't work.

Help! I'm running a very old version of Parallels 4 on my mac 10.6.8

We do not support Parallels Desktop 4 any more as it is an EOL (end of life) product for us. The support is provided for the latest version i.e., Parallels Desktop 10 and for the previous 2 versions (Parallels Desktop 8 & 9) only. We would suggest you to purchase a full product of Parallels Desktop and we will be glad to offer you support with it.

 

I bought Parallels 10 but am unable to install it on my Mac 10.6.8. what would you recommend that I do?
Currently have Parallels 4 and it won't load anymore. Please advise.

In order to have Parallels Desktop 10 running in your Mac please upgrade your Mac. Parallels Desktop 10 can be installed from 10.7.5 onwards.
