Hi all, We had been happily using Parallels V5 on one of our networked iMac 21.5" for quite some time (until it was stolen). When we managed to get a hold of a replacement, I configured it to run on our network with network users and then proceeded to install parallels. The iMac won't let a network user log on at all as soon as parallels has been installed, when they try the mac will stall on the login screen for 2-5 minutes and then bring up an error message saying "The user xxxx is unable to log on at this time". Local users are fine. I've been having a dig around on these forums and can't seem to find any particularly similar situations, is there something that parallels installs (kernel extensions - can't seem to find them) that could be causing the problem? Regards Sam
It's strange. There is really nothing very serious have changed in the PD6 comparing with PD5 in this area. Are there anything strange in the system logs? I don't promise, but if you will send a problem report (From menu Help -> Report a Problem) and post here thi ID, I'll take a look
ID Number Elric, My problem was not from upgrading from V5 to V6, it was installing Parallels V5 on the newer iMac. My problem ID is 6777876. Regards, Sam
