Unable to Migrate .hdd

    I have an .hdd file I created from my old PC that I have backed up on my LaCie external drive. I copied the file from the LaCie to my Parallels desktop and then tried to migrate the file clicking on File>import and then using the Parallels transporter. I select "single virtual disk" and then browse to the .hdd file. After selecting "Migrate" it runs for a while until I received the following message:
    "Unable to open virtual disk image"
    Any help or suggestions would be appreciated

    Try to Use Parallels Image Tool from Applications/Parallels and convert image to new format.
