Parallels Explorer can open a W2K VM just fine. However, PE has a problem with a Boot Camp WXP VM. My VMs are located on a secondary internal drive (not the boot drive). Both VMs are working just fine. I am using the Paralles Desktop version 3.0, build 5226. OS X 10.5.5, Mac Pro early 2008, single 2.8 GHz quadcore CPU, 4 GB of RAM. Not sure if you will be able to see the attached picture with the error. The first sentence of the error reads: "Parallels Explorer is unable to open the virtual machine file." What can I do to fix this problem? And thank you for your help. Olaf PS I tried searching for the string in the subject line but (to my surprise) found nothing. Any search tips are also appreciated.
It is normal, because Parallels Explorer needs exclusive access to disk, but it is mounted to Mac OS. This is by design, as you always have access to disk using Finder (read only in case of NTFS)
